A resident of Horlivka in the DNR was wounded as a result of AFU shelling
A resident of Horlivka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) was wounded as a result of shelling of the city by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by the head of the city district Ivan Prikhodko on January 17.
"As a result of shelling of the Stroitel residential area by Ukrainian Nazis, a civilian resident of Gorlovka was wounded," the mayor wrote in his Telegram channel.
According to the Department of the administration of the head and government of the DNR on the documentation of war crimes of Ukraine, since the beginning of the day the AFU made two artillery shellings of the city with the use of 155-millimeter artillery.
On the eve, the head of the DNR Denis Pushilin reported that three civilians were injured in the Nikitovsky district of Gorlovka as a result of attacks by the AFU. A woman born in 1964 and two men born in 1958 and 1952 were injured when an explosive object from a Ukrainian drone was dropped on a car. They were given medical assistance.
A day earlier, on January 15, Prikhodko said that as a result of the dropping of an explosive object from a Ukrainian drone, two people were injured. According to his data, it happened in the evening of January 14.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces shell the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics, as well as Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions on a daily basis amid the special operation to protect Donbas, the start of which was announced by Russia on February 24, 2022.
