Vladikavkaz airport closed for aircraft arrival and departure
The "Cover" mode has been introduced at Vladikavkaz airport, it is closed for the arrival and departure of aircraft because of the drone danger mode. This was announced by the head of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Sergey Menyailo on January 17.
"The drone danger regime has been declared in the republic. Also the "Cover" mode has been introduced - Vladikavkaz airport is closed for receiving and dispatching aircraft. <...> All forces and means have been put on high alert," Menyailo wrote in his Telegram channel.
He recalled that the operational headquarters in the republic is working around the clock, and urged the residents of the region to remain calm and trust only official information.
Earlier, on January 15, a Boeing-737 passenger plane on the Moscow-Novosibirsk route returned to the capital's Sheremetyevo airport because of a report of a bomb on board. The person who reported the bomb was detained. Operational services have started checking the aircraft.
