In Lipetsk, the lists of those wishing to study at the "giant school" began to be compiled

In Lipetsk they are preparing for the start of work of a new "giant school", which was built in the "Yeletsky" microdistrict. It is expected that the building will be put into operation already this year.

The city department of education collects information in other educational institutions about those wishing to continue education in the new school. Its opening is scheduled for September 1.

The school in the "Yeletsky" neighborhood is designed for 1.2 thousand places. During the construction the cost of works has grown from 1.6 billion rubles to more than 2 billion rubles.

The company Lipetskxantekhmontazh-1 is engaged in the construction. Construction began in May 2023. The object was to be delivered in December 2024, but it has not happened yet. Now the building is being finished.

As GOROD48 notes, the appearance in the neighborhood of one more educational institution is extremely necessary: the existing school in "Eletsky" now works actually in three shifts.

At the end of December it was reported that in Lipetsk announced the search for a contractor to overhaul the building of school No. 4, located on Parkovaya Street. The maximum cost of the contract with the contractor will amount to 244.32 million rubles. This is almost 100 million rubles more than the cost of renovation of the previous school, No. 5, on Semashko Street, for the repair of which Lipetsk will pay about 139 million rubles. As the city's Department of Education noted, the cost is due to the complexity of the work to be done.
