Romania has put two F-16 fighter jets in the air over air border violations

The monitoring and tracking systems of the Romanian Defense Ministry have detected a violation of Romanian airspace. This was reported by the Romanian Ministry, its statement is quoted by the Defense Romani edition on January 17.

It is noted that from 1:35 (2:35 Moscow time) two Romanian F-16 aircraft went to monitor the air situation, and they returned to the base around 3:48 (4:48 Moscow time).

"Groups of defense ministry officials searched the area and found near the settlement of Plauru (between the communes of Catalcaia and Tudor Vladimirescu), not far from the border, traces of a possible drone crash," the report said.

It is specified that security measures have been introduced in this area, specialists will conduct an investigation.

Earlier, on January 15, in Poland was raised in the air military aviation because of alleged Russian actions in Ukraine. Later, the operational command of the country's Armed Forces said that the operation had been completed and pointed out that there had been no violations of the republic's airspace.
