Olga Galaktionova has been appointed Director General of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts. This was announced by Minister of Culture of Russia Olga Lyubimova on January 17.

It is specified that since 2021 Galaktionova headed the State Museum and Exhibition Center ROSIZO.

"Under her leadership were created such major exhibition projects as "Kukryniksy. 100 Years", "Filonov. Artist of World Prosperity", "Immortality of the feat", as well as "DK USSR" - winner of the first National Prize in the field of museum work named after D.S. Likhachev", - stated in the Telegram-channel Lyubimova.

In addition, ROSIZO was active in new regions of Russia: children's centers and the Museum of Cinema were opened in the city of Shakhtersk in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR).

Lyubimova wished Galaktionova success in her new post.

The day before, January 16, Elizaveta Likhacheva informed "Izvestia" about her decision to leave the post of the head of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts. She took over as head of the museum in March 2023, replacing Marina Loshak, who had been in charge of the museum since 2013.
