A fire in an apartment building on Sakhalin was extinguished for 14 hours

A fire in an apartment building occurred in the town of Nevelsk on Sakhalin. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on January 17.

It is specified that the area of the fire amounted to 1 thousand square meters. m. After receiving a report of a fire on the roof of the building, police officers went to the scene.

"The entire roof of the building was engulfed in flames, and the fire began to move below, taking over apartments on the fifth and fourth floors. Law enforcers began urgent evacuation of people", - stated in the Telegram-channel of the Department.

In addition, an apartment round was conducted. The fire was eliminated 14 hours after its occurrence.

Earlier, on January 17, in a private house in Bryansk there was a roof fire. Four fire tankers were involved in extinguishing the fire. The fire damaged the roof of the house over the entire area. No one was injured as a result of the incident. Later it became known that the fire was liquidated.
