Explosions have occurred in the city of Pavlograd in Dnipropetrovsk Region of Ukraine. This was reported on January 16 by the publication "Strana.ua".

"Reported explosions in Pavlograd in Dnipropetrovsk region," - stated in a message in the Telegram-channel of the edition.

According to the online map of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, before that, an air alert was announced in the region. It is currently announced in Khmelnitsky, Chernivetska, Zhytomyr, Vinnitsa, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Cherkasy, Kirovograd and Mykolayiv regions.

The Russian Defense Ministry did not comment on the information about the explosions.

Earlier, on January 15, explosions were reported in Mykolaiv and Kharkiv regions. An air alert was declared in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Russian forces in October 2022 began striking military facilities and related energy and communications facilities in Ukraine. As explained by Russian President Vladimir Putin, this was in response to the Kiev regime's terrorist actions.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
