Volunteers from the Stavropol Region, who were delivering humanitarian aid for children, were injured during a Ukrainian drone attack in Zaporizhzhya Region. This was reported by the Governor of the region Yevgeny Balitsky on January 16.

"Injured from the attack of enemy drones volunteers from Stavropol region, who were carrying humanitarian cargo for children of Vasilievsky district, hospitalized in Melitopol hospital," he wrote in his Telegram-channel.

Balitsky specified that the victims are in a stable serious condition, they have multiple shrapnel wounds, including to the head and chest.

Earlier in the day, the head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) Denis Pushilin said that three residents of Gorlovka were injured as a result of attacks by the AFU. A woman born in 1964 and two men born in 1958 and 1952 were injured when an explosive object from a Ukrainian drone was dropped on a car. They were given medical assistance, he noted.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
