Director General of the Pushkin Museum Likhacheva will leave her post

The head of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, Elizaveta Likhacheva, told Izvestia on January 16 about her decision to leave her post.

"Yes, it's true," she said in response to a related question.

In addition, according to Izvestia's source, Olga Galaktionova, who previously served as general director of the State Museum and Exhibition Center ROSIZO, will become the new head of the museum.

Likhacheva took charge of the Pushkin Museum in March 2023, replacing Marina Loshak, who had been in charge of the museum since 2013.

Galaktionova took charge of ROSIZO in 2021. Prior to her appointment, she was in charge of cultural projects. She was also involved in large-scale exhibition and theater projects, which were timed to coincide with the Year of Theaters in Russia.
