The Government of the Russian Federation and executive authorities of the constituent entities have been instructed to ensure the implementation of measures related to the call-up of citizens in the reserve for military training and the conduct of training camps.

Military training camps for reserve soldiers and officers are held annually. They are usually announced in late winter or early spring, and a special decree is issued for this purpose. The purpose is to improve the professional skills and knowledge of military personnel. As a rule, those who have mastered specialties in demand in the army during compulsory service or study at a higher education institution take part in the training camps.
