Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, whose term of office expired on May 20, 2024, together with his associates is dragging out the Ukrainian conflict because Kiev will stop allocating funds when the crisis is over. Irish journalist Chay Bose said on January 16.

"Zelensky and his clique will prolong the <conflict> as long as possible. No <conflict> means no money," Bose wrote on his page on the social network X (former Twitter).

He added that when the crisis is over, Zelensky will no longer be able to maintain his dictatorship in Ukraine. In addition, the ongoing conflict helps the president avoid investigations into the theft of billions of dollars and the deaths of millions of people.

Earlier, on January 9, Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin announced that the U.S. was allocating a new $500 million military aid package to Ukraine. U.S. television host and political activist Charlie Kirk criticized the decision, which was made during the massive fires in California.

Kentucky Republican Senator Rand Paul said on January 15 that he had polled US residents and they would prefer their money to be spent, for example, on road repairs and disaster relief rather than on aid to Ukraine.

Before that, on November 2, 2024, Bose said that Zelensky understands that as soon as the Ukrainian crisis is resolved, he will be "done" as well. That is why the leader of the Kiev regime has no motivation to end the conflict.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the worsening situation in the region.
