The court extended Blinovskaya's arrest until May 2
Savelovsky court of Moscow extended the arrest of blogger Elena Blinovskaya, she will stay in pre-trial detention until May 2, 2025. This was reported by Izvestiya correspondent from the courtroom on January 16.
Earlier in the day, Blinovskaya fully admitted guilt in non-payment of taxes, legalization of illegal income and illegal turnover of means of payment during questioning in court. The blogger said that from the very beginning of the investigation she wrote a confession of guilt. She shared that she had been engaged in online marathons since 2014 and started with her friends, and then her husband Alexei, who quit his job and helped, got involved in this activity. The one, in turn, said that the idea to formalize each marathon on a separate legal entity belonged to him.
Before that, on November 29, 2024, it was reported that Blinovskaya had fully paid her debt to the Federal Tax Service (FTS) in the amount of 1 billion 173 million rubles. Later, on January 14, the press service of the main interregional directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP) of the Russian Federation reported that the enforcement proceedings for the collection of tax debts had been terminated against the blogger.
On November 13, 2024, the court declared Blinovskaya bankrupt and began the realization of her property. On December 16, 2024, the blogger filed an appeal against the bankruptcy decision. According to the court filing, her husband also filed an appeal of the bankruptcy decision on December 6.
In April 2023, the blogger was detained on suspicion of fraud for non-payment of taxes in the amount of about 918 million rubles. For about a year she was under house arrest. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation completed the investigation against Blinovskaya on July 25. On August 30, 2024, the blogger partially pleaded guilty to tax evasion.
