A German court has banned a married couple from naming their child Lucifer
In Germany, a couple from the city of Rostock was denied the request to name their child Lucifer after their appeal to the local court. This was reported on January 16 by the publication Ostsee-Zeitung.
It is noted that the couple first applied to the civil registry office, where the staff stated that the name Lucifer could harm the well-being of the child.
After the refusal to register the couple appealed to the court, but there the initiative also did not support, adds "Gazeta.Ru".
Earlier, December 6, 2023, in the State Duma of the Russian Federation developed a bill that prohibits the registration of children under names that do not correspond to their sex. Now at the state registration of birth is prohibited to record the name of the child, which consists of digits, alphanumeric designations, numerals, signs, except for the hyphen. In addition, the use of mats, ranks, positions and titles is not allowed.
