Weather forecasters warned Muscovites about snow and rain on January 18

Muscovites are expected to face cloudy weather on the weekend, January 18 and 19. Rain with snow is possible on Sunday, as follows from the data of the service "Yandex Weather", which were reviewed by "Izvestia" on January 17.

On Saturday, January 18, it will be cloudy in the capital, no precipitation is expected during the day. Gusts of moderate northwest wind will reach 6.9 m/s. In the morning, the temperature will be +1.... +2 degrees and will remain at this level until the end of the day. In cities near Moscow, such as Odintsovo, Podolsk, Lyubertsy, Vidnoye and Domodedovo, the temperature during the day will be about one degree below Moscow values, forecasters said.

On Sunday, January 19, the weather in Moscow will remain cloudy, rain with snow is expected in the afternoon. The temperature in the morning will be 0... +1 degree, until the evening will remain at this level, and at night will rise to +2 degrees. A moderate wind is expected, in the morning gusts will reach 5.5 m/s. In the central districts of the capital (Tverskaya, Arbat, Tagansky, Yakimanka) throughout the day the temperature will be one degree higher than in the rest of the city.

In the Moscow region conditions will remain similar to those in the capital: rain with snow is expected in the evening, and the temperature will be at the level of Moscow values or at most one degree lower.

Earlier, on January 10, leading specialist of the information agency "Meteonovosti" Tatyana Pozdnyakova told "Izvestia" that the second half of winter in the capital will be warm. At the same time, she noted that the lowest temperature in the current month will be observed in the last five days. In addition, the expert suggested that, most likely, the baptismal frosts in the city will not take place.
