Kovalchuk discussed areas of work with the head of the Supreme Audit Chamber of Kazakhstan

Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of Russia Boris Kovalchuk met with the head of the Supreme Audit Chamber of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov. This was reported by the Russian Embassy in Kazakhstan on January 16.

"The parties discussed the main results of interdepartmental cooperation and identified priority areas for further joint work", - stated in the message of the diplomatic mission in its Telegram-channel.

It is specified that the talks took place within the framework of the events timed to the 30th anniversary of the Accounts Chamber. The participants of the meeting talked about the prospects of cooperation within the framework of various international audit associations, such as the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI), the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) and the Council of Heads of Supreme Audit Institutions of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

In addition, Kovalchuk invited employees of Kazakhstan's financial control body to participate in digital projects of the Accounting Chamber, namely in the Repository of knowledge in the field of public audit and Digital University for INTOSAI community.

Earlier in the day, it was also reported that Kovalchuk held meetings with the President of the UAE Accountability Office Humeid Obaid Abushibs and the Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Akmatov. The parties discussed key issues of interagency cooperation. During the talks with the UAE representative, special attention was paid to the topic of cooperation within the BRICS framework.
