In Krasnoyarsk gymnasium, a student died during sports lessons

In Krasnoyarsk, an 11-year-old boy died during training in rock climbing in a sports gymnasium due to a fall from a height. This was reported on January 16 in the press service of the Prosecutor's office of the Krasnoyarsk region.

"It is preliminarily established that today at about 17:30 (13:30 Moscow time) during a sports tourism session, an 11-year-old schoolboy climbed a rope to a height of 6 meters, mistakenly unbuckled the safety rope and fell off the rope downwards," - stated in the Telegram-channel of the department.

The child died of his injuries on the spot. A criminal case has been opened under Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Negligence resulting in the death of a person").

According to the prosecutor's office, the boy had been practicing in the section for about two years. Now the investigation is establishing all the reasons for the incident.

Earlier, on January 15, a boy died in Kungur while tubing on a natural slope "Lysaya Gora". The boy told his friends about his poor health, after which he fell. The prosecutor's office is conducting an inspection, the circumstances of the incident are being established.
