In January, the Kremlin Ballet invites children, their parents and grandparents to performances intended for family viewing.

On Friday, January 17, at 19:00, there will be a performance of A. Shelygin's ballet The Toy Seller, based on the novel of the same name by V. Dobrosotsky. The action of this Christmas fairy tale unfolds in our days. Moreover, there are so many adventures in it that it is enough for a whole detective story. Just imagine: in modern Paris lives the heir of an ancient Russian princely family Nicolas Bersky. He is a master at making toys, which children like very much and which, of course, come to life as he goes along. Having unexpectedly received an invitation from the director of his great-grandfather's museum in St. Petersburg, Nicolas goes to Russia for Christmas. Here he will have to overcome the intrigues of intruders, find the treasure hidden by his grandfather in the estate that once belonged to their family, and meet his love... At the end of the performance Nicolas opens a new toy store, this time in Moscow. The choreographer-director is People's Artist of Russia Andrei Petrov, the scenic designer is Grigory Belov, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, and the costume designer is Olga Polyanskaya. The orchestral version was performed by Vladimir Kachesov.

On Saturday, January 18, at 16:00, the audience will be treated to "The Snow Maiden" by P. Tchaikovsky. The production, which takes the viewer to the time when people and the forces of nature were one and the same. Frost and Spring, their daughter Snow Maiden, Snowflakes, Winds, good-natured Leshy here are as real live characters as the shepherd boy Lel, the beautiful Kupava and her fiancé Mizgir or Beggar and Beggar Woman who adopted Snow Maiden who dreamed of living together with people. The choreographer-director is People's Artist of Russia Andrei Petrov, the production designer is People's Artist of Russia Stanislav Benediktov.

On Sunday, January 19, at 16:00, it will be possible to see "Cipollino" by K. Khachaturian. It is based on the famous fairy tale by Italian writer Gianni Rodari, on which more than one generation of children has grown up, and the dynamic, incendiary, incredibly imaginative and emotional music by Karen Khachaturian is no less well known to almost everyone by the Soviet full-length animated film of the same name, released in 1961. And now, in 1974, the inhabitants of the fairy-tale country (and of course you remember that they are vegetables, fruits and flowers) at the will of choreographer Genrikh Mayorov spoke the language of dance. The director himself emphasized: since, first of all, the performance "Cipollino" is intended for children, it is necessary that, while observing the required conventionality of the genre, they, nevertheless, could easily orient themselves in what is happening. And he fully managed to achieve this: the manner of plastic speech of each of the characters, be it Cipollino, Redisochka, Prince Lemon, Mr. Tomato or Count Cherry, is recognizable and strictly individual, which makes the production visual and illustrative in a good way. The production designer is Valery Leventhal, People's Artist of the USSR. The set and costume designers are O. Medvedeva and S. Leht. Lecht.

On Sunday, January 26, at 14:00, in the Kremlin Palace - "Scarlet Flower" by V. Kuptsov. Like the fairy tale by S.T. Aksakov, on which it is based, this ballet offers to think about very important things. Such as the ability to keep one's word and compassion for one's neighbor, unselfishness, courage, nobility, readiness to resist evil and, of course, unconditional love as the basis of the universe itself. The performance will be accompanied by modern multimedia sets. The choreographer is People's Artist of Russia Andrey Petrov, the scenic designer is Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Grigory Belov, the costume designer is Olga Polyanskaya.

All performances are accompanied by the Orpheus Radio Symphony Orchestra (Artistic Director and Principal Conductor - Honored Artist of Russia Sergey Kondrashev).
