GAC GS8 large crossover will get a new version in Russia

GAC will start sales in Russia in spring 2025 crossover GS8 in a new modification Traveller. A source in the company told "Izvestia" on January 17.

The modification has been certified and received the "Approval of the type of vehicle" (OTTS). Competitions and prices are not specified yet.

It is not excluded that in Russia will begin deliveries of off-road version GS8, which was presented in China in 2023 under the name Traveler. From the standard crossover, which is available in Russia, it, among other things, is distinguished by a different design of the radiator grille, revised bumpers and the presence of a box on the rear door.

Now GAC GS8 is sold in Russia in four configurations and costs from 4 million to 4.75 million rubles. The crossover is equipped with a two-liter turbo engine with an output of 231 hp, eight-speed automatic transmission Aisin and all-wheel drive system.

The day before it was reported that in Russia will begin sales of a new modification of the crossover Jetour T2, which is equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The new configuration was named Discovery.

December 26, 2024 GAC Motor Company plans to bring two new models to Russia in 2025. In the first half of the year, the model range of the brand is planned to expand due to business sedan Empow and crossover GS4.
