The Canadian NGO OpenText Corporation was recognized as undesirable in Russia

The Prosecutor General's Office has declared the activities of the Canadian non-governmental organization OpenText Corporation undesirable in Russia. This is reported on January 16 on the website of the agency.

"The non-governmental organization OpenText Corporation, founded in 1991 in the city of Waterloo (Canada), closely cooperates with the U.S. security agencies, is involved in information and technical support of the Western propaganda campaign against Russia," - indicated in the department.

It is specified that this NGO is a contractor of the Pentagon, supplying software to differentiate access and identification of users of computer networks.

In addition, the British division of the organization, Micro Focus International, provides the security agencies of Ukraine with software and cyber defense services required during the collection of data for strikes against Russian forces and infrastructure.

Earlier, on December 25, 2024, the activities of the U.S. organization Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe (U.S. Helsinki Commission) were recognized as undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation. The agency pointed out that the activities of this structure were aimed at destabilizing the socio-political situation in the country.
