The Polish side's statements about Russia's preparation of terrorist acts in the air against other countries are unsubstantiated. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said this on January 16, commenting on the words of Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

"On the whole, this is nothing but another absolutely unsubstantiated accusation of Russia. Poland is well known for such unsubstantiated accusations," he said at a briefing.

According to Peskov, Poland is "trying to maintain leadership in this arena" compared to other European countries.

Earlier, on January 15, Tusk said after a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (whose term expired on May 20, 2024) that Russia had planned acts of air terror not only against Poland but also against other countries. He did not provide any evidence or details of his allegations.

Prior to that, on September 23, 2024, Poland unsubstantiatedly accused Russia of conducting an "information and psychological operation" against citizens in connection with flooding in the country. According to the country's Armed Forces, the Russian side allegedly used the technique of selective selection of information in cyberspace to induce emotions of fear and helplessness in civilians.
