The service for protection of cultural heritage objects was abolished in Transbaikalia

The State Service for Protection of Cultural Heritage Objects has been abolished in Transbaikalia. Its powers have been transferred to the regional Ministry of Culture, the press service of the regional government reported on Thursday, January 16.

Now the duties of the agency include control and provision of public services in the sphere of preservation, use, popularization and protection of cultural heritage objects.

As noted by IA ChitaMedia, all employees of the abolished service will go to work in the ministry.

Earlier in January it was reported that in Transbaikalia there appeared a commission to support regional cinematography. It consists of 10 people. These are representatives of the government, specialized educational institutions, directors and actors.
