Moscow transferred 15 objects to cultural institutions over five years
Moscow cultural institutions have received 15 new real estate objects with an area of about 52.7 thousand square meters since 2019. This was reported by Vladimir Efimov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for urban policy and construction, on Thursday, January 16.
According to him, the targeted investment program allows to erect buildings and constructions necessary for the city infrastructure. Buildings constructed over five years have been transferred to the zoo, theaters and schools of arts.
So, in November 2019 in the east of the capital opened the building of the music school named after Ferenc Liszt in Veshnyaki. In the North-Western administrative district, the cultural center "Strogino" received in operational management cultural and leisure center (CLC) "Sovremennik", reports the agency of city news "Moscow". The museum-reserve "Kolomenskoye" was given a technical structure, in the south-east a building for the Glinka school of arts with the area of 3.5 thousand square meters was built, in Tinao a new cultural center was opened.
According to the head of the capital's Department of municipal property Maxim Gaman, for the Moscow Zoo built a pavilion "Pinnipeds", a fountain, a new entrance from the side of the metro station "Barrikadnaya" and other objects, writes kp.ru. In 2021, the theater "Grandpa Durov's Corner" was given the building of the new stage.
The head of the capital's Department of Culture Alexei Fursin, in turn, noted that the construction of new facilities in the cultural sector helps to expand the area of institutions to create more opportunities for training and performances of students, as well as visits to the favorite Muscovites and guests of the city cultural sites, notes "Moscow 24". In particular, the number of visitors to the Moscow Zoo increased 2.8 times to 3.7 million people, writes NSN.
Earlier in January, the mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin said that in Moscow last year renovated 63 objects of culture, including theaters, libraries and art schools. Until 2030 in the capital it is planned to renovate 19 more buildings.
