In 2025 in Moscow will check about 1.8 million gas stoves in the apartments of citizens. This was reported by Deputy Mayor of the capital on housing and public utilities and improvement Pyotr Biryukov.
According to him, gas safety issues are under special control. Scheduled maintenance of all gasified housing stock of the capital is carried out annually. Specialists of the municipal economy complex pay special attention during inspections to the condition of in-house gas pipelines and gas appliances in apartments. If violations are detected, gas engineers exclude the threat to safety, as well as give recommendations for further operation and repair, reports the agency of city news "Moscow".
The official emphasized the importance of timely inspection of the gas stove for its safe operation. The service life of gas stoves is on average 10-12 years, after which the gas taps wear out, burner splitters are deformed, there is a violation of the thermal insulation of the oven. It is impossible to maintain safe operation of such appliances, in which case replacement is required. Responsibility for maintenance in proper condition and replacement of gas equipment rests with the owner or tenant of the residential premises, reports "Moscow 24".
The gas stove must necessarily be equipped with a "gas-control" system, suspending the gas supply if the flame in the burner is extinguished.
