In 2024 Moscow fairs were visited by 8.5 million buyers, which is 2 million more compared to the previous year. This was reported by the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin in his personal blog on January 16.

He also said that the volume of sold products increased by almost 37%, amounting to 16 thousand tons.

"Trade at interregional fairs is going on every day except Monday," the mayor wrote.

Sobyanin emphasized that about 130 fairs are located in residential areas near metro stations and public transportation stops. They are pavilions that combine retail outlets and festival grounds. Cooking master classes, ecological projects and skating rinks are held on their territory.

The Mayor of Moscow drew attention to the fact that from Friday to Sunday weekend fairs work in the capital. Half of them are open all year round and are equipped with heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.

Residents and guests of the city will be able to buy at the fairs both traditional and unique products from more than 40 regions of Russia. In addition, pickles according to ancient recipes, farmer cheeses and much more are available, Sobyanin noted.

Earlier, December 9, 2024, it became known that at the market within the framework of the project "Winter in Moscow" more than 500 brands will present their products. In the center of the capital until February 28, 2025 will work New Year's market "Made in Moscow". A "beauty train" with cosmetics, décor and master classes will be located on Tverskoy Boulevard, and a "candy box" with sweets and drinks will be located on Novy Arbat.
