Ukraine reported the appearance of anti-tank hedgehogs on the border with Belarus

The highway across the Ukrainian-Belarusian border was barricaded with wire, boulders and anti-tank hedgehogs. This was reported by the Ukrainian daily Strana.ua on January 16.

"The highway across the border is piled with huge boulders. Through the forest stretches barbed wire", - stated in the message in the Telegram-channel.

In addition, on the road also lie anti-tank hedges and construction debris, the publication noted.

Earlier, January 12, first deputy commander of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus, Alexander Bykov, said that in 2024, special detachments were sent to the border areas of Brest and Homel voblasts with the task of preventing the penetration of saboteurs into the territory of the republic. He specified that the detachments are still in temporary deployment points in the border areas with all possible forces and means.

Before that, January 8, a representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, said that the state was installing fortifications and strongholds on the border with Belarus in Volyn region. According to him, the video surveillance system will also be improved on the border.
