A bus hit a schoolgirl at a crosswalk in the Irkutsk region. This was reported in the state traffic police of Irkutsk on January 16.

It is specified that the incident occurred at about 06:45 local time (01:45 Moscow time) on the 7th km of the Aleksandrovsky tract.

"Preliminary, the 63-year-old driver of a Hyundai Aero Space shuttle bus, following from the side of Irkutsk in the direction of the village of Stolbova, allowed a collision with a 16-year-old girl who was crossing the roadway on an unregulated crosswalk," - stated in the message in the Telegram-channel of the department.

The schoolgirl died at the scene before the arrival of medics. At the time of the accident there were no passengers in the bus, specified in the state traffic police. Law enforcement officers continue to work on the site, on the fact of the accident was started verification.

Earlier, on January 15, it was reported that in the urban district of Lukhovitsy in the Moscow region there was an accident, as a result of which four people were injured. They are hospitalized. Police officers are clarifying all the circumstances of the accident.
