Troops Group "West" destroyed three Starlink stations of the AFU for a day
The servicemen of the "West" group of troops have destroyed three Starlink satellite communication stations and 13 control points for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the past 24 hours. This was reported by Ivan Bigma, head of the group's press service, to TASS on January 16.
"The Kvertus electronic warfare station, 13 drone control points, three Starlink satellite communication stations and two field ammunition depots were destroyed," he said.
Bigma specified that the AFU militants also lost a US-made M109 Paladin self-propelled artillery unit, a 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer, a US-made M777 howitzer, a British L119 and a D-30 towed howitzer.
In addition, the air defense calculations of the Western Group of Forces destroyed two HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and 22 aircraft-type UAVs.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that artillery crews of Grad multiple rocket launchers of the Northern group of troops destroyed FPV drone launching points, fortified positions of the AFU and enemy manpower in the area of the special military operation, as well as suppressed enemy fire adjusters.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
