Artillery crews of Grad multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) of the North group of troops have destroyed FPV drone launching points, fortified positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and enemy manpower in the zone of the special military operation (SMO). This was reported in the Russian Defense Ministry on January 16.

It is noted that the fighters ensured the possibility of offensive actions of assault units in the Kharkiv direction, as well as thanks to the coordinated work of artillerymen and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) reconnaissance teams suppressed the launch points of FPV drones and enemy fire adjusters.

After receiving the combat mission, the teams moved into position, where the combat vehicle commander adjusted the MLRS using an artillery bussol to the coordinates received from the command post. During the bringing into combat position, the cover was provided by the servicemen of the motorized rifle unit.

"The rocket battery today performed a very important task - to cover enemy UAV sites. There was interaction with an infantry unit. The rocket battery performed the task of neutralizing the enemy's FPV drone. It was able to accomplish this task with five points. The infantrymen reported that there were no enemy 'birds'," said the artillery chief of the separate assault brigade with the call sign Irtysh.

Earlier, on January 15, the Russian Defense Ministry said that calculations of 122-millimeter D-30 howitzers of the 122-millimeter howitzers of the motorized rifle regiment of the "West" group of troopsdestroyed the AFU's Bradley infantry fighting vehicle, as well as camouflaged strongholds and enemy manpower. Russian fighters uncovered camouflaged strongholds, an accumulation of enemy manpower and the movement of a Bradley infantry fighting vehicle of the Ukrainian army to positions for personnel rotation.
