Air defense forces destroyed five Ukrainian drones over two Russian regions
Russian air defenses have destroyed five unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over two regions of Russia. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the Russian Defense Ministry on January 15.
It is specified that four drones were eliminated over the territory of the Voronezh region and one over the Belgorod region.
The attacks were repelled between 18:40 and 18:50 Moscow time, the ministry noted.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry said that air defense forces destroyed two Ukrainian drones overnight over the territory of the Belgorod region and one over the Tambov region.
Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the backdrop of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
