Bolshoi Ballet director Vsevolod Nemolyaev died at the age of 87
Ballet dancer and director of the Bolshoi Theater Vsevolod Nemolyaev has died. This information was confirmed to "Izvestia" on January 15 in the press service of the Bolshoi Ballet Theatre.
The director died at the 88th year of life. He is the brother of the People's Artist of the RSFSR Svetlana Nemolyaeva.
Nemolyaev was born in Moscow on February 22, 1937. In 1956, the artist graduated from the Moscow Choreographic School and joined the Bolshoi Theater, where he first performed as a ballet dancer, then as a director.
His concert repertoire includes the ballets Romeo and Juliet, The Stone Flower, Don Quixote, and Cinderella.
He also starred in the movie After the Ball by Anatoly Dudorov and in the television ballet Naughty Ditties to music by Rodion Shchedrin.
