Voyah became the leader in NEV car sales in Russia
The Voyah brand has become the leader of the Russian car market in the segment of new generation alternative energy source (NEV) models by the end of 2024. The company also took the fourth place among all premium brands in the country in terms of market share, according to the report of the brand's representative office, which was received by Izvestia on January 15.
At the end of last year, the company sold 8.9 thousand new electric and hybrid models of the brand, the market share in the segment amounted to 15.7%. The bestsellers of Voyah brand were crossovers Free and minivan Dream, which also turned out to be the best-selling hybrids in Russia among the officially presented on the car market of the country.
Sales of Free and Dream in December last year increased by 32% for both models (compared to November 2024) and amounted to 568 and 136 units, respectively. In total, 7.3 thousand and 1.6 thousand people became owners of the Free crossovers and Dream minivans, respectively, over the past year.
Global sales of Voyah in the world since its launch have grown more than 12 times - from 6.8 thousand units in 2021 to 85.7 thousand in 2024. According to the results of the last year, the Dream model took the first place by sales volume in the minivan market in the NEV-segment. In 2025, the brand plans to realize 200 thousand cars.
Earlier in the day it was reported that at the end of 2024 in Russia were sold 17.8 thousand new electric cars, which is 26.4% more than a year earlier. This result for the Russian market became a record. The market leader for the second year in a row was the Chinese brand Zeekr, which is not officially represented in Russia.
