Emergencies Ministry will ensure the safety of baptismal bathing in Khabarovsk Krai

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Khabarovsk Krai has taken control over the organization and conduct of baptismal bathing in water bodies in the region. At the moment it is planned to organize swimming pools in 23 street places.

Employees of the rescue department will visit sites of water reservoirs in advance, check them for compliance with safety requirements, make sure there are no dangerous places where there is a threat of people and equipment falling through the ice. Specialists will give recommendations to the organizers regarding the location of parking places.

In addition, during the period of bathing itself, January 18 and 19, the duty will be carried out by employees of fire and rescue formations, inspectors GIMS, representatives of the public, authorities, police officers and ambulance, writes IA AmurMedia with reference to the press service of the Main Department of Emergency Situations in the region.

Earlier it was reported that in the Moscow region will equip 227 places for bathing on the Epiphany holiday, where Russians can traditionally take a dip in the ice-hole. Thus, it will be possible to take a dip in the font on the territory of the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ in the military-patriotic park of culture and recreation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation "Patriot" in Odintsovsky urban district. The spring (font) of St. Sergius of Radonezh "Gremyachiy Klyuch" in the village of Vzglyadnevo in the Sergiev Posadsky Urban District will also be equipped for bathing.
