Actor Yura Borisov has been shortlisted for the BAFTA film awards
Russian actor Yura Borisov has been shortlisted for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Film Awards. Information about this on January 15 appeared on the website of the award.
Borisov entered the list of nominees in the category "Best Supporting Actor" for playing the role of Igor in the movie "Anora" by American director Sean Baker. Along with him, the place in the nomination was shared by actors Edward Norton, Guy Pearce, Jeremy Strong, Kieran Culkin and Clarence McLean.
The film "Anora" is presented at the BAFTA in seven nominations, including Best Film, Best Director, Original Screenplay and Best Actress in a Leading Role.
The shortlist of nominees was announced live on BAFTA's YouTube channel. The names of contenders for the awards named actress Mia McKenna-Bruce and actor Will Sharp.
Earlier, January 8, it became known that Borisov was nominated for the U.S. Screen Actors Guild Award (SAG) for Best Supporting Actor for his role in "Anora". Among the nominees in this category also included American actor Edward Norton, who played in the movie "Bob Dylan: Nobody Knows".
