Mash Room has dedicated a new issue of the magazine to the stories of prisoners of war

In January 2025, Mash Room published the second issue of its magazine. The main topic was prisoner exchanges, and the heroes were the participants of these processes. Hero of Russia Vladimir Sharpatov told about his capture and escape from Kandahar in 1995. His memories bring to life the events that the crew experienced, including severe moral trials: "I listened to my granddaughter start talking. A couple of times I even had the urge to finish everything at once."

Entrepreneur Viktor Bout, who spent 15 years in an American prison, shared his experience of preparing an escape, and also spoke about his relationship with prison guards: "They understood that it was not their policy, but the policy of the institution."

MP Shamsail Saraliev in the interview revealed the details of modern negotiations with Ukraine, emphasizing that the main difficulty is to conduct a dialogue with the opposing side.
