AvtoVAZ said it is preparing a new minivan in a tight timeframe

AvtoVAZ plans to launch sales of a new Lada minivan in 2027. The model is being prepared on a tight schedule, Dmitry Kostromin, the company's vice president for sales and marketing, told Izvestia correspondent from the company's press conference on January 15.

"The minivan will be launched in 2027. Now the entire AvtoVAZ team is doing everything possible to get it to the market in a short time," Kostromin said.

In addition, according to him, AvtoVAZ is developing turbocharged engines. Now the entire Lada lineup is equipped only with atmospheric units. As specified Kostromin, it is possible that the turbo engine project for Lada will be carried out in partnership with another company.

Earlier in the day it was reported that AvtoVAZ has planned 15 major product events for 2025, including the launch of completely new models and the renewal of existing ones. One of the major new products will be the debut of the new Lada Iskra, which will sit between the more affordable Granta and the flagship Vesta in the brand's lineup. The new Lada Iskra together with the pre-production version of the Lada Niva Sport were presented to the public at a press conference.
