Parking in snowdrifts, which are becoming more and more numerous in yards and parking areas in winter, is harmful for a car. This was stated by the service director of the company "Rolf" Yulia Trushkova, reports "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" on January 15.

According to her, snow and ice can accumulate in the wheel arches and disks, which can make it difficult to turn the front wheels and move the elements of the steering system, will also lead to vibration when driving. If there is a lot of snow or ice around the brakes, the parking brake may "freeze" when engaged.

At the same time, snow, especially if it contains salt or other chemicals, can accelerate the corrosion process of metal parts of the car. In addition, in deep snow, a car can get stuck, and when freeing it, there is a risk of damaging the transmission if you try to pull out by sharply increasing engine speed. Finally, the car can be damaged by hitting obstacles hidden in a snowdrift, the expert warned.

January 13, auto expert Alexander Kovalev said that Nissan Note, Mitsubishi Lancer IX and Toyota Corolla are the best choice among Japanese models in the secondary market with a budget of Br500 thousand.

January 9, auto expert Pavel Bakharev warned that in case of freezing of engine oil in the car should not restart the engine: it may damage its components. The oil may freeze due to its viscosity class, which does not correspond to winter conditions, he explained.
