Almost a quarter of Russians (24%) are ready to pay more for an apartment with an attractive view from the window, and respondents under the age of 24 - 32% - mentioned this option more often than others. This is reported in the study "Avito Real Estate", which was reviewed by "Izvestia" on January 15.

According to the study, among the surveyed Russians who have recently bought or rented an apartment for their own residence or plan to do so in the next five years, 62% consider the view from the window an important, but not a key criterion in the choice of housing.

Among Russians who participated in the survey, 55% indicate a green area such as a forest or park as the most attractive view from the window. 46% of respondents prefer a view of a water body, while 28% choose a city panorama. Young people under the age of 24 are more likely than others to single out an urban landscape as their favorite window view (41%), while the more mature generation (55-64 years old) prefers a view of a forest or park (64%).

Specialists noted that there has been a trend for a long time, when developers place more spacious apartments on the upper floors, because such objects offer the best views. At the same time, on the lower floors there are often smaller apartments - here housing attracts buyers primarily by its price. As a rule, the higher the floor on which the apartment is located, the more attractive the view from the window and, as a consequence, the higher the cost per square meter.

"Developers with the development of the primary market pay more and more attention to aspects that affect the final choice. For example, they invest in landscaping of the adjacent territory and even develop park areas on former wastelands. Such social load has a positive impact on the quality of life not only for buyers of apartments in the LCD, but also for the local community as a whole", - summarized the managing director of the primary real estate direction of "Avito Real Estate" Dmitry Alekseev.

Earlier, on January 9, "Izvestia" got acquainted with the study of the company "Airplane" where it was reported on the mandatory amenities of Russians when buying an apartment. According to experts, in the new year Muscovites want to buy apartments with walk-in closets (23%), built-in pantries (15%), additional outlets on the balcony (13%), a second bathroom (12%), a master bedroom (9%) and a niche for a washing machine (8%).
