A criminal case has been opened over the attack on people at Krasnoyarsk airport

The investigation has opened a criminal case against a foreign citizen for the fact of attacking people at Krasnoyarsk airport. This was reported on January 13 in the press service of the Eastern Interregional Investigative Department on transport of the Russian Federation IC.

"A criminal case has been instituted against a foreign citizen on the grounds of a crime under part 3 of article 30, paragraphs "a", "and" part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted murder")", - stated in the message in the Telegram-channel.

As indicated in the agency, the issue of selecting a measure of restraint for the detainee is being decided.

In the Department of transport of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Siberian Federal District specified that one person was injured as a result. It is noted that, presumably, the attacker consumed alcohol. The reason for the attack the man has not yet been able to explain.

Earlier in the day at the airport of Krasnoyarsk, a 40-year-old man with a knife attacked people. According to preliminary data, the attacker suddenly stabbed several blows with a knife to the 39-year-old victim. Footage from the scene shows the attacker, being on the first floor of the airport terminal complex, throwing the knife on the ground at the sight of police officers, after which he was detained. The victim was taken to hospital.
