Pushilin reported 10 attacks by the AFU on the territory of the DNR over 24 hours
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) about 10 times during the day. This was reported by the head of the DNR Denis Pushilin in his Telegram channel on January 13.
"About 10 armed attacks were carried out from the side of the VFU [armed formations of Ukraine]," the message reads.
He noted that Ukrainian militants used artillery of 155 mm caliber.
Earlier, on January 12, Pushilin said that two civilians were killed and four wounded in the DNR after new shelling by the AFU. It was specified that two residential houses, four infrastructure facilities (administration of the Nikitovskyi district of Horlivka, a utility company, power lines) and six cars in the districts of Horlivka were damaged.
On the same day, Gorlovka Mayor Ivan Prikhodko noted that traffic on the Gorlovka-Yasinovataya highway in the DNR had to be temporarily closed due to shelling by Ukrainian militants. Prikhodko urged Gorlovka residents and guests to use other routes for transportation and not to risk their safety.
Ukrainian militants are trying to strike at Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
