The introduction of systems based on artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into city services will significantly speed up access to services, Maxim Kuznetsov, Director of Strategic Development and Partnerships at AIRI, told Izvestia on January 13.

Earlier in the day, the Moscow mayor and government portal reported that citizens can now check the status of a Muscovite's card using artificial intelligence.

Kuznetsov expressed the opinion that in the near future will continue to actively develop and transform the application of AI in various assistants.

"Digital assistants are mastering voice messages, they are already capable of expert-level understanding of various specialized issues, be it health questions or financial portfolio assessment. Artificial intelligence systems are learning to recognize users by individual characteristics, and reliable identification services are emerging. Now we are actively working on the creation of algorithms for verification, anti-spoofing and certification of AI systems to ensure their security and resistance to attacks by hackers," he said.

According to him, the most implementations will be seen precisely in the sphere of AI assistants, the improvement of the quality of whose work is facilitated by the development of multimodality, i.e. the ability of large language models to work not only with text, but also with the processing of visual, audio information and other types of data.

"For example, at the Infotech-2024 forum, Minister of Digital Development of the Russian Federation Maksut Shadaev spoke about plans to integrate AI into the Gosudeservices service." More recently, the press service of the Moscow government's transportation complex talked about plans in 2025 to start introducing neural networks into the work of the virtual assistant, which by the end of 2030 will process more than 1 million calls per month," Kuznetsov added.

Among expert systems, he first of all noted AI assistants for medics. He reminded that in 2025, Russia plans to expand the number of medical research with the use of AI included in the OMC. In addition, digital services are actively appearing, which are designed to help Russians determine which doctor to go to with a certain set of complaints.

On December 26, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said that Russia is one of the world leaders in the development of artificial intelligence technologies. According to him, Russian scientists have unique neural processors and mathematical models.
