A resident of Horlivka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) was injured when an explosive object was dropped from a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by the mayor of the city Ivan Prikhodko on January 13.

"As a result of dropping an explosive object from a UAV of Ukrainian terrorists on Internatsionalnaya Street (Central City district of Gorlovka) a civilian was injured," reads the message published in the Telegram-channel.

The drop of ammunition from a drone was recorded by the Department of the administration of the head and government of the DNR on the documentation of war crimes of Ukraine at 16:10 (coincides with Moscow time). The information was posted in the Telegram channel.

Earlier, on January 12, two people were killed and two more were injured in Gorlovka when an explosive object was dropped from a UAV as a result of the AFU shelling. The Ukrainian enemy launched more than 20 armed attacks during the day. The AFU used barrel artillery of 155 mm caliber, as well as attack drones, the head of the DNR Denis Pushilin specified.

On the same day, Prikhodko said that traffic on the highway Gorlovka - Yasinovataya in the DNR had to be temporarily closed due to shelling by Ukrainian militants. The mayor urged Gorlovka residents and visitors to use other routes for transportation and not to risk their safety.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike at Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
