British boxer Fury announced the end of his career
British boxer Tyson Fury announced the end of his sports career. He said this in a video posted on January 13 in the social network Instagram (owned by the organization Meta, recognized in Russia as extremist and banned).
"I am ending my career in boxing," he said.
The athlete retired from professional sports at the age of 36. On account of the Briton 37 fights, among which 34 wins, two losses and one draw, writes "Sport-Express".
He retained the titles of world champion in heavyweight in the versions of the World Boxing Association (WBA), International Boxing Organization (IBO), World Boxing Organization (WBO) and the World Boxing Council (WBC).
Earlier in Saudi Arabia in the city of Riyadh in the night from December 21 to 22 was held a fight between boxers, which lasted 12 rounds. In it Ukrainian Alexander Usik defeated Fury.
Later it became known that the leadership of the WBC suspended the two athletes from fights after the rematch for 36 days on medical grounds. The decision was taken to avoid possible problems with their health after the fight.
