Gintsburg noted RDIF's contribution to Gamaleya Research Center
Investments made by the Russian Direct Investment Fund under the leadership of Kirill Dmitriev in the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology became the basis for further development of biotechnology in this institution. This was announced to journalists on January 13 by Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Director of the NRC Alexander Gintsburg.
In addition, these investments made it possible to create a production base for the release of the Sputnik V vaccine.
"We very much hope that with the support of the country's leadership [Russian President] Vladimir Vladimirovich[Putin] it will be possible to respectively continue our cooperation with the Russian Direct Investment Fund in terms of further development and the project related to the creation of oncovaccines," Gintsburg emphasized
On the same day, CEO of RDIF Kirill Dmitriev said at a meeting with the Russian president that the fund has invested over 2.3 trillion rubles in the Russian economy during its work together with its partners. He emphasized that these investments are not only important for the growth of the Russian economy, infrastructure and technology, but also extremely profitable for the state.
