In Nizhny Novgorod region, a man killed his wife and child and tried to commit suicide. This was reported by a source of Izvestiya on January 13.

According to the interlocutor, the neighbor of the couple, having heard the screams, called the police. When law enforcers arrived at the scene, the 29-year-old victim was in the entrance, and the door to the apartment was locked. When the dwelling was opened, the body of a one-year-old girl was found inside. Her 35-year-old father at the time was trying to get even with his life.

Both spouses were hospitalized, but the woman later died. A criminal case was initiated.

On January 13, a resident of the town of Balakhna, Nizhny Novgorod region, stabbed his spouse to death and killed his 1.5-year-old daughter. It was reported that the suspect stabbed his wife numerous times with a knife and hit his daughter several times on the head with a blunt object. They died from their injuries.
