Rosobrnadzor estimated the probability of canceling the USE in the coming years
There is no talk of abolishing the Unified State Examination (USE) in the coming years. This was stated by the head of Rosobrnadzor Anzor Muzayev on January 13.
According to him, changes in this area are informed several years in advance so that graduates have the opportunity to prepare in advance.
"All high school students are advised to calmly continue preparing for the exams, relying on the official information posted on the official resources of Rosobrnadzor and the Federal Institute of Pedagogical Measurements (FIPI)," Muzayev told RIA Novosti.
Also, Alexander Mazhuga, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education, told Izvestia that there is currently no alternative to the USE. He emphasized that this format is a full-fledged exam that covers all the academic material studied at school. In addition, the USE is equated to entrance tests to a higher educational institution.
"What we are working on is improving the Unified State Exam, first of all in terms of its content," the interlocutor said.
On the same day, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the topic of canceling the Unified State Exam is not being discussed in the Kremlin, as this issue should be decided by the government. According to him, in this case it is primarily the responsibility of the Ministry of Education and Science.
On the eve of the head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs Yaroslav Nilov predicted a gradual abandonment of the USE in Russia. According to him, this is indicated by the revision of some of the rules for taking the exam, as well as the beginning of the discussion on the integral system of assessing the knowledge of schoolchildren.
Before that, on December 10, 2024, Valery Fadeev, head of the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights (HRC), said that it is necessary to introduce an integral assessment of graduates' knowledge in schools. He noted that the average score could be taken into account when entering a university together with the results of the USE.
