Two foreigners will be convicted of trafficking in alcohol and cigarettes in Khabarovsk

In Khabarovsk, a criminal investigation into the sale of counterfeit tobacco and alcohol products has been completed. The total turnover amounted to about 6.5 million roubles.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, two natives of neighboring countries bought cigarettes and drinks without documents from an unknown person. They stored the illegal goods in containers in different parts of the city. As needed, the goods were delivered to retail outlets for sale, writes IA AmurMedia.

Illegal activity was stopped by employees of the Department of Economic Security and Anti-Corruption. More than 21 thousand packs of cigarettes and 14 thousand bottles of alcohol were seized from circulation. The investigation of the criminal case has been completed, the materials have been sent to the court for consideration on the merits. One of the accused was placed in the center for temporary detention of foreign citizens.

At the end of 2024 in the Stavropol region suppressed the work of an underground factory for the production of alcoholic beverages. The police seized about 1 thousand liters of alcohol and more than 1.6 thousand liters of finished products.
