The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) has invested over RUB 2.3 trillion in the Russian economy during its work together with its partners. This was announced by Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the fund, at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on January 13.

Since the beginning of its activities, the fund has invested in 100 landmark projects in various sectors - from infrastructure and industrial production to high technology. Dmitriev noted that 1 trillion rubles was allocated to greenfield projects after the creation of new industries and enterprises.

"We have also attracted €36 billion of foreign capital into the Russian economy, a significant part is invested automatically. At the same time, 90% of these funds are funds of exactly friendly countries that continue to work with us," he added.

He emphasized that these investments are not only important for the growth of the Russian economy, infrastructure and technology, but also extremely profitable for the state. According to Dmitriev, RDIF has multiplied the state funds invested in the fund by 5.7 times.

In addition, the fund has attracted 150 billion rubles from foreign partners to invest in the development of artificial intelligence in Russia.

Earlier in the day, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said that in the first nine months of 2024, investments in the country's tourism infrastructure increased by 44%. According to him, 239 projects with a total investment of RUB 1.2 trillion are being implemented under the preferential lending program.
