A man killed his wife and 1.5-year-old daughter in the Nizhny Novgorod region

A resident of the town of Balakhna, Nizhny Novgorod region, stabbed his wife and killed his 1.5-year-old daughter. This was reported on January 13 in the Telegram-channel of the regional Prosecutor's office.

The incident occurred on Sunday, January 12. It is established that the suspect inflicted numerous blows to his wife with a knife and a blunt object several times hit his daughter on the head. From the injuries they died.

A criminal case was opened against the man under paragraphs "a", "c" of part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Murder of two persons, including a minor".

Balakhinsk regional prosecutor Dmitry Chizhkin was sent to the scene to establish the circumstances.

Earlier, on December 19, 2024, a resident of Rostov-on-Don killed his daughter, wounded his wife and committed suicide. A criminal case has been opened on this fact on the grounds of crimes under part 1 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder") and part 3 of article 30, paragraph "a, c" of part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted murder").
