22 cars of a freight train derailed in Buryatia
In Buryatia, 22 empty cars of a freight train derailed at Angarakan station. This was reported by Russian Railways on January 13.
The causes of the incident are currently being established. As the press service of the Eastern Interregional Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia informed, a criminal case has been opened under Part 1 Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of safety rules of movement and operation of railway transport"). There are no casualties as a result of the incident, but train traffic has been temporarily suspended.
"At the moment, all rolling stock has been removed from the gabarit of both tracks. It is to restore more than 100 m of track, replace three switches and 200 m of contact network", - stated in the Telegram-channel of Russian Railways.
In the elimination of the consequences of the accident involved more than 200 specialists, recovery trains from stations Severobaikalsk and Taksimo and other equipment.
Earlier, on January 7, 39 gondola cars with coal derailed on the railroad in Khabarovsk Krai. There were no casualties as a result of the accident, the amount of damage due to the accident is being established. The Investigative Committee organized a check under part 1 of article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of safety of movement and operation of railway transport").
