Interior Minister awards Izvestia journalists for objective coverage of police work
The head of the Russian Interior Ministry Vladimir Kolokoltsev has awarded journalists of Izvestiya and other Russian mass media for objective and competent coverage of police activities. This was announced by the official representative of the agency Irina Volk in her Telegram-channel on January 13.
The badge "For Assistance to the Interior Ministry" was awarded to Daria Karaseva, an employee of Izvestia media center, and the certificate of honor of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia was awarded to Sergey Sidorov, the host of the program "Emergency Call 112" of REN TV.
Yana Revushkina, special correspondent of Izvestia newspaper, was also recognized.
In addition, awards were given to journalists of RT, Kommersant, Komsomolskaya Pravda, RBC, NTV, Channel One and other Russian media, as well as the program "Vesti. Duty Part" program. Dmitry Gornostaev, Deputy Chief Editor of Rossiya Segodnya news agency, was awarded the special prize "Police Recognition".
The awarding was timed to coincide with the Day of the Russian Press, which is celebrated annually on January 13.
Earlier, on December 11, 2024, Denis Kulaga, Izvestia's military correspondent, won the Golden Pixel award in the Best Military Correspondent category. More than 100 people participated in the contest, and the awards were presented by the Governor of the Moscow Region Andrei Vorobyov. As the hosts of the ceremony noted, Kulaga covered the combat work of the Cossack brigade "Terek" in the Donetsk People's Republic, was seriously wounded, but managed to return to action.
